Service at Northwood
The last thing that Jesus asked of us as he was being executed was that we love one another. Service is one way we learn how to love. "Where there is no love, put love — and you will find love." St. John of the Cross
Food Pantry
Every SATURDAY from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., we have a food pantry for those in need in our neighborhood serving zip codes 46205 and 46208. We can always use donations of paper grocery sacks and dry goods. Our pantry serves as many as sixty families. Join us in this hands-on care for the surrounding community. Contact the office or Lisa Turner at lat7500turner@hotmail.com for more information on how you can participate or on an updated list of needs.
Our Toy Store takes place in early December, providing toys for the children of our Food Pantry families. We need your financial assistance to reach out to these children at this special of year.
We invite you to donate to our Food Pantry and participate in feeding families in need throughout the area.
Mentor a Child at School 70
You can make a difference in the life of a child with a one-hour or more commitment per week. Help children at IPS #70 improve their reading and writing skills. Volunteer forms are available from the church office.
Serve Dinner at Wheeler
A group from Northwood Christian Church regularly goes to Wheeler Mission to help serve dinner. Generally, everyone leaves from the church parking lot and carpools downtown. If you are available from 4:15 to 6:30 PM on the days that they plan to go, feel free to come and lend a hand. Wheeler would be happy to have you! Contact Denise Rogers at dfrzta2000@yahoo.com for more details.
